How to keep your child safe during Coronavirus Outbreak?
Due to the Coronavirus outbreak, the government and World Health Organization is urging the people to exercise safety and preventive measures. It is important to stay aware of the safety measures you need to take to prevent spread of the virus. It is difficult to observe children around the clock so make them also aware of good hand hygiene.
Currently, the patients that are infected with COVID-19 and asymptomatic 2019-CoV carriers can also be the source of infection. So, cleaning your homes is not enough. You need to protect your child from travelling outside.
Try building a habit of sanitizing your hands before feeding/playing with your child. Give nutrient-rich food items in the diet of your child to improve his or her immune system. Wash vegetables and fruits properly with water before feeding your child. Ask your child to wash his/her hands properly with soap water before and after eating. Educate them about how the infection spreads through physical contact. Motivate them to do little exercise at home for better health. Develop a habit of covering the mouth while coughing or sneezing.
Avoid more than 1 attendant with the patient, do not let hospitals get crowded. Practice these preventive measures in your daily life and protect your child from the pandemic Coronavirus.
Please respect the hospital workers. They are there to protect you and your family. If they advise you to not stay with your patient, please listen to them. They are there only to protect your family against this deadly disease. Also, remember you can be a carrier of this disease and not know it. This can then be transmitted to your parents and grandparents and any others in your family with low immunity. These people have a much higher chance of dying from corona virus. So protect yourself to protect your loved ones.
Stay Home, Stay Safe!
